KAFO (Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthosis)

KAFO (also known as caliper) is an orthosis that encumbers the knee, ankle and foot.

It can be used for multiple diagnoses, including severe knee ligament instability, muscle weakness  as a result of Poliomyelitis, Multiple Sclerosis, and Spinal Cord Injuries, Genu Recurvatum(also called knee hyperextension or back knee), pain and/or fracture.

The orthotic brace is used to provide stability to your leg during stance phases.
